Suresh and his family hail from the famous ‘marble’ city of Sangaymermer Makrana in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. Suresh currently works with 20 workers. Unfortunately, Suresh has faced many difficulties in recent times. Currently, his biggest challenge is sourcing quality marble blocks. The reason for this is years of mining, which makes it necessary to mine deeper and deeper into the bowels of the earth. This endangers Suresh’s livelihood and the future of many artisans like Suresh.
